Twisted Fairytales is a digital, for charity fanzine that depicts Twisted Wonderland characters in different existing fairy tales. How will the Twisted Wonderland characters act when they get teleported into these stories with new roles to play?


The zine will feature art, digital merch, and writing. It will be SFW (safe for work) with an allowance for small amounts of blood and gore featured in the designs and zine pieces. The zine will also be non-spoiler free as references to both the main and event storylines may be included in the works.

All works must be completely original. The use of AI, copying from others without credit or using your previous works, is not allowed in any part of this project unless stated otherwise.

What is a fanzine?
A fanzine (zine for short) is a magazine created by fans to celebrate a character, ship or form of media. Zines can come in both physical and digital formats and typically feature a variety of both art and writing.

โœด๏ธŽWhat charity will this zine be donating to?
Charities will be nominated through interest check and determined by mods after looking through the results.

โœด๏ธŽWhat are contributors expected to create for this zine?
Contributors are expected to create at least one polished piece for the zine, depicting at least one Twisted Wonderland character in an existing fairy tale/folklore/myth. The fairy tale can be the one that the character is originally from (e.g. Riddle as Alice or the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland are both allowed.)

โœด๏ธŽAs some fairy tales can be quite disturbing, should the zine contributions be accurate to the fairy taleโ€™s source material?
Ideally, yes. However, we will not be allowing any explicit NSFW content, including heavy blood/gore in the zine as to comply with the gameโ€™s ratings, so contributors would have to be careful with how they depict their pieces. Slight implications, as well as using different versions of the fairy tale (e.g. Disneyโ€™s version) are allowed.

โœด๏ธŽAre original characters (including depictions of Yuu/MC that are not from the official manga or novels) allowed in the zine?
No, any depictions of original characters, including Yuu-sonas are not allowed since we want to keep the characterization close to the game, Depictions of manga/light novel Yuus (Yuuken, Yuuka, Yuuya, Yuuta and Yuuna), as well as in game Yuu (as long as their face is not shown) on the other hand, are allowed.

โœด๏ธŽWill ships between characters (including the MC) allowed in the zine?
Yes, as a lot of fairy tales feature romance. However, ships with Ortho, Lilia, and Leona (with anyone that is not a third year) are not allowed. Ships between teachers/adult characters with students, and siblings are not allowed as well.

โœด๏ธŽHow many contributors will be accepted?
The exact number will be determined based on our interest check results and the amount of contributor applications we receive, but we are aiming for around 30-40 contributors in total (max. 50), as we want all characters from at least the main cast to be featured, but also make sure that the team size is manageable!

โœด๏ธŽCan I apply for multiple roles?
Yes, but you will only be accepted for max. 1 role, so that we can include more people in the zine and make sure no one overworks themselves! (If you have a preference to what position you want to be accepted as, please mention it in the contributor application!)

โœด๏ธŽWill the zine feature guest creators?
Yes! the guest line up and spotlights will be posted during the contributor applications period.
